BACK IN EFFECT

First time back posting on the blog since late last year… that’s pretty much how it’s gonna be from here on out I guess. Sporadic real schitt sitings whenever I have a new project to push or whenever i have the time to sprinkle some other stuff of interest on you (probably won’t be a lot of that, though). If you’re still checking out the happenings over here it’s appreciated, most def.

You may notice that we’re no longer down with Blogger / Google… they put THAT REAL SCHITT through some reeeeeeal bullsh*t when all I was trying to do was renew my domain name. They tried to suck me into some crap where I was gonna have to pay additional fees to Google Apps for basically nothing and tried to make it damn near impossible for me NOT to pay them if I wanted to keep the site on Blogger. Some real shady tricknology, kids. Long story short I relocated the business over to WordPress– so far so good but I peeped some tricky unnecessary money grabbing tactics out of them, too (thanks to GoDaddy for smoothing the transition out for me- they wanted money as well but I guess you gotta pay somebody if you’re not the most computer literate dude on earth and can’t work this sh*t out on your own).

So here we are, back again and reloaded- note the new overly cluttered header i haphazardly threw together. That’s how I do this, son! A quick rundown on upcoming PMC business- the Phill Most Chill Remix E.P. on Nobody Buys Records produced by my dudes The Bankrupt Europeans should be dropping in a matter of days; the Rampagers 7″ on DWG produced by Jorun Bombay featuring Emskee, Oxygen and me should also be dropping very very soon; and the long awaited Fabreeze Brothers album by myself and Paul Nice is DONE and will be released on AE Productions, hopefully by the end of the summer (SO hyped over this album… if people like it half as much as I do it’ll be one of their favorite Hip Hop albums in a looooong time, possibly EVER- yeah, I said it). Plus I have a few features here and there… what can I say, been gettin’ busy in my old age.

Also, for those of y’all who could care less about the PMC rappin’ stuff and want to hear more Soulman mixes, I got a few of those on deck too. Would love to do more- I have TONS of great music I’d like to share- but I’m low on time and usually too damn worn out with everything else I’m doing to put together a mix that I’m 100% happy with. I have two right now that have been sitting for over a year that I just haven’t been able to finish up. But I’ll get on it, have no fear.

Anyway, spread the word that THAT REAL SCHITT is up and running again- it ain’t over yet.

IT’S FORMAT Y’ALL… AND PHILL MOST Y’ALL

I’m slightly frazzled right now, what with handling a bunch of social networking and other online biz connected with my latest new release (seems I have a gang of ’em right about now), the 10 track full length lp by UK modern day legend DJ Format and myself, Phill Most Chill, titled “The Foremost” (get it? I knew you would). It’s been a busy day, but I’m more than happy to do whatever has to be done because I am freaking ecstatic about this album! Matt (that’s DJ Format to you) has been a beat making monster for years, and I can honestly say that in my honest opinion he honestly outdid himself with the beats on this record. Honest. 
Before I get superfluous with the superlatives, which I can do at times, let me just direct you to the brand spankin’ new promo video for the album, courtesy of the uber-talented creative folks at Paintshop Studio (and yeah, I’m really ecstatic about this video too!)-

Release date is October 28th, should be easy enough to find online but if you have any troubles catching a copy hit me up right here and I’ll help you out with that. And we are trying to promote the heck out of this jawn, so if any of y’all bloggers or websiters or radio show peoples is interested in conducting an interview you can contact me here or on my Facebook page and we’ll try to make that happen if at all possible. More info to come… right now let me get a couple hours of sleep before my brain explodes all over the inside of my skull like the batteries in my Columbia GP-3 did.

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK… REALLY, DON’T.

…but maybe it actually is! Who knows? I sure as hell don’t. I can’t even believe it’s been over a year since my last post here on THAT REAL SCHITT (and I haven’t been posting regular updates for even longer than that). I know all of the faithful followers to this blog have gone on to greener (and more frequently updated) pastures… my apologies to any who may have been disappointed by my disappearance from these parts.
But I would like to get back into the swing of things over here- partly because yeah, I have a bunch of stuff coming up that I want to promote (gotta go for dolo when you don’t have a big PR firm handling things, what can I say), but also because I just miss dropping my little tidbits pertaining to true school Hip Hop, random raps, diggin’ in crates, etc… you know, THAT REAL SCHITT. So I’m gonna give it a try and see how it goes. If I can figure out how to do this properly on my iPad while I’m out in the streets I know I can make it happen. Cross your fingers. Thanks to everybody who’s checked for this site over the years and hopefully we can crank it up once again. MORE TO COME.

A quick sneak peak snippet of what’s to come in 2012 (and it looks like I have a LOT coming, so stay tuned)- the first single from the tag team duo of Phill Most Chill & Paul Nice a.k.a. UPDATE: PMC – ALL CUTS RECORDED RAW LP

Just letting those interested know where we stand as of right now: the limited edition bundle with the colored vinyl and extras is SOLD OUT (everything flew out within hours of availability…. wowww). The double black vinyl lp is still available but it too may be sold out very soon, so I would advise any and all wanting to cop the album to do so ASAP. The CDs should be around awhile longer. PMC ALBUM ON DWG – ALL CUTS RECORDED RAW TRAILER (COMING JUNE 2011)

Shameless self promotion, I know… that’s Hip Hop, baby. The long awaited, often rumoured but yet to materialize Phill Most Chill “All Cuts Recorded Raw” limited edition double vinyl lp on DWG is finally about to happen… June 2011 or DIE (no, I’m not gonna kill any of the Diggers With Gratitude if it comes out later than June… it’s just a figure of speech). Hey… I know I’m not doing a lot of Real Schitt posting these days, but keep checking back here every now and then anyway, I’m definitely not done with this blog. Just too busy for regular updates right now, that’s all. In the meantime and in between time, please check me out on Facebook. I haven’t been able to rock with that Twitter schitt, but I’m down with the Facebook, son. I still haven’t totally figured it out, though, so I’m not sure what URL you’d go to to request me as a friend, but you can just do a Facebook search for Phill Most and you should be able to find me pretty easily. THE NO. 1 OLD SCHOOL QUARTERBACK

I liked this video so much it actually got me to come out of my state of suspended animation like Captain America melting out of a giant ice cube hollaring for his beloved Bucky. Son Of Bazerk doin’ it in 2010? Oh, hells yes. This schitt is awesome, and I think it’s the kind of schitt that may actually even be awesome to some people who aren’t as old as Moschops terds like I am. I’m trying to get back to regular Real Schitt posts but I’m busy a lot these days dealing with something called real life (a relative of That Real Schitt but not exactly the same thing), so we’ll see how it goes. THE HIATUS

Yep, I’m in the middle of it right now. Hot fun in the summertime + real schitt malaise + another possible external hard drive issue (yep, even my extra back-up drive is acting like it’s about to push up daisies) = hiatus status for the time being. I may be back in effect tomorrow, I may NEVER return to regular real schitt blogposts, who knows. Football season’s about to start, I’m getting my young people ready to go back to school and I’m rockin’ Jay-Z‘s latest collection of old man rapps in the whip… my mind is just not into bloggery right now. I do have some mixes that just need to be finalized, so once that’s done maybe I’ll make my comeback at that time. Like I said previously, who knows. I’m checkin’ the stats though, I see a lot of folks are still coming through on a daily basis, so that’s most definitely appreciated. Until I get my mojo back (IF I get my mojo back), feel free to drop me a comment and tell me what kind of schitt you’d like to see here at THAT REAL SCHITT in the future… maybe that’ll light a fire under my azz.
